Pseudo-Random Code CW(PRC-CW) radar is playing a more and more important role in the engineering practice because of its spreading spectrum and wide time span, but it remains some problems in practice such as how to solve the problem of signal side-lobe, Doppler sensitive, and so on . To suppress the Doppler sensitivity of pseudo random code continuous wave (PRC-CW) radar signal, a novel method is presented. It utilizes a composite signal including single frequency signal and pseudo random phase-coded signal which are cascaded. The Doppler frequencies of targets are firstly estimated based on FFT method and the Doppler compensated signal can be constructed. The effect of Doppler frequency on the correlation detection can be efficiently suppressed by processing the compensated signal with pulse compression-FFT.FPGA is a digital technology development in 1980s.FPGA has many advantages in small volume, high accuracy, high speed and stability and so on. This paper will introduce FPGA technology into PRC-CW radar to develop the integration of radar system.In the basis of PRC-CW research group , this thesis will propose a new method to solve the problem of Doppler sensitive. The arrangements for this thesis are as follows: The first chapter is about the background of the PRC-CW radar. The second chapter describes the principle of PRC-CW and which pseudo we choose . The achievement of the echo's formula both in time period and in frequency period can also be found step by step in this chapter. The third chapter gives the hardware and software environment for FPGA. Chapter Four elaborate on design and implementation of signal processing in detail. The next chapter is about the combination of matlab and FPGA. Finally, the last chapter is about the summary of the full text ,and pointing out the deficiencies in the design and the possible improvement in the future.
