In modern high-tech war, radar is irreplaceable. Among them the short-range surveillance radar can detect targets on the ground or at low altitude, even distinguish them. It can protect valuable targets such as fortresses, airports and so on. It is of great importance to improve the performance of the short-range surveillance radar. In order to find a radar with low possibility of interception, stronger anti-interference, better accuracy, wider range but in a smaller volume, pseudo-random-code phase-coded quasi-continuous wave radar is the first choice. Because it meets the demands of modern war. This thesis is to analyze the signal processing of pseudo-random-code phase-coded quasi-continuous wave radar for short-range surveillance. The thesis firstly analyzes the forms of the radar. And then the noise and clutter in the working environment is studied. A suitable model is chosen and simulated. Then the signal processing system of this radar is constructed. The model includes generation of received wave, matched filter, rearrangement of data, clutter-canceling, moving-target-detection. All the progress is simulated and the results are shown. After that two pivotal technologies of signal processing are discussed in detail. As for the 13-bit Barker Code and 63-bit optimal-peak-sidelobe binary codes, algorithms of linear programming and least squares are utilized to suppress the sidelobe. For the 13-bit Barker Code, filter of RG-2 structure is applied. The performance and valuable conclusions are reached. Finally a multi-cycle canceller is used for still clutter and the trying-out method for slow-moving clutter. Both algorithms are simulated and some useful results are obtained.
