The quasi-continuous wave(QCW) radar, as a new type of radar,has appeared in recent years.It not only solves the contradiction between the range resolution and the detection range in the early pulse radar by using the pulse compression technology,but also solves the problem of transmit leakage of continuous wave radar by using the isolation between transmitter and receiver. The QCW radar has unique advantages and broad application prospect.Consequently, it has become a focus of the technical field of radar in China and abroad recently.Firstly,This paper discusses the characteristics of MAC sequence and P4code.At the same time,it analyzes targets,clutters and noises in the echo of QCW radar.On these bases,a mathematical model for the echo of QCW radar which can be applied to a variety of terrain environment is established.Secondly,for the signal processing system of QCW radar based on FPGA,a MTI filter based on eigenvector method which can instead of traditional clutter cancellation is designed to suppress clutters.Side-lobe suppression filters based on CLPG and second-order cone programming are designed.Also,a frequency domain pulse compression system based on segmentation overlap cyclic convolution method is designed to avoid the producing of special side lobes in the processing of frequency domain pulse compression.By the phase correction Doppler compensation algorithm,the processing of pulse compression is implemented for the high-speed target.Also,a double-MAC sequence Doppler compensation algorithm and an improved phase correction Doppler compensation algorithm are proposed in different application environments.Finally, based on comprehensive considering the hardware resources, the treatment effect and the complexity of FPGA realization,appropriate processing algorithms are chose to constituted the signal processing system of QCW radar.It is simulated and implemented in the signal processing equipment. The test results of simulation and implement are given to prove the correctness of the design.
