Mircowave antennas are key components of the front of radar systems, and slotted waveguide array antenna has been widely used because of its flat, compact structure, power capacity. Especially in recent years, As requested by improving radar anti-jamming, the antennas must be low side-lobe or very low side-lobe. And slotted waveguide array antenna has become the preferred form of the request. As the development of a variety of computer-aided technique,such as the use of CNC machine tools and antenna's overall welding technology, it become easier to create a slotted waveguide array antenna.In this article ,we research the slotted waveguide array antenna in the following aspects:i) The equivalent circuits of the way of how to calculate the waveguide slot, especially the coupling impedance between each two slots, and decribed the Elliot equation in details, all of this is the basis of designing a slotted waveguide array antenna.ii) Described in detail the distribution of the various incentives to achieve the required low side-lobe,and compared them. Finally we program the terms to simplify the design process.iii) Simulating of a variety of different forms of slotted waveguide array antenna by software, and compare them with the actual results to prove the feasibility of the design.
