For a long time, the air defense artillery unit in its main equipments—vehicles and artillery has many problems, such as a lower degree of information technology, lacking of management methodologies and higher working efficiency. Therefore, the development of a high-performance vehicles and artillery system named Integrated Management Information System in network environment is particularly necessary, aimed at improving management efficiency of the vehicles and artillery equipment. On the base of the current status with respect to the use and management of vehicles and artillery as well as the requirement of information management of the air defense artillery unit, with computers, networks, databases, information security technology, standardized design and computer-aided design method of combining is used for the core database development, and the Life Cycle Method is used for the development of the management information systems. At the same time, with the employment of advanced B/S software architecture system, using Windows Server 2003 network for operating system, Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 platform for the development , C# for the exploitation of language, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database for the background, Sybase PowerDesigner as an auxiliary tool, it has successfully developed a unique anti-aircraft artillery unit vehicles and artillery integrated management information system. In the end, a further study is made on the safety of the system and a number of possible security policies and measures are presented. The system has achieved the desired effect through the test, evaluation and improvement, greatly improving the efficiency and automation level with respect to the management of vehicles and artillery in the unit.
