The thesis describes the Floating Tablet system on basis of a practical project which has been already applied to an exhibition. The goal of the system is that when users slides on the screen with the finger, the system will output the track line according to the slide track with fingers, as the simulation of written by human hands in nature. The users can save their own messages, as well as view the old messages left by other users.Firstly, we did some research on New Media and Human Computer Interaction theory; Secondly, a system was built with an interactive profile distinguished from the traditional ones in the practical project with the related knowledge creatively, which would bring new interaction experience to the users. Besides, the usage of Multi-media software—Adobe Director will be analyzed and taken into the thesis. The thesis includes three parts as follows:1, The thesis introduces the theory knowledge of New Media and Human Computer Interaction, the project background of Floating Tablet, and the evaluation and introduction of the tools used.2, The thesis includes the introduction of functional requirement of Floating Tablet and basic frame of the project, especially the detailed analysis of non-functional requirement, including the parts of software and hardware.3, After the development policy was set up, the system was designed and carried out on the basis of the theory. The thesis includes the graph of , the graph of Director module frame, and the graph of state conversion of Floating Tablet, etc. The thesis also provides the method of solution for the difficulties in the developing process of the project.
