| The size of the cable TV network in Haining city has kept increasing since it was built 16 years ago. The confusion and disorder to the state of the network resource and its statistical data, which is caused by the traditional management model, a manual and nonstandard style with dispersed documents, has become an obstacle and can not meet the requirement of network construction and maintenance. Meanwhile, coupled with the development of the information technology, the GIS technology has been developed fully and become a tendentious technology to be selected and applied in constructing the cable TV network resource management system.Therefore, this thesis makes studies and builds a centralized network resource management system with the powerful GIS technology, in which the centralized management, effective dispatching and optimized configuration to the network have been made available and they can improve the application environment of the network management, report the states of network resource undistorted and dynamically, and assist the administrators in managing and decision-making.This thesis designs and accomplishes a cable TV network resource management system based on the GIS platform( SuperMap ), which serves for Haining cable TV company. The spatial database, the technology of GIS (SuperMap Objects) have been applied in the system that is connected with the cable TV service closely. After the system was implemented in Haining cable TV company, the network planning, the network designing, the project management, the maintenance management, the business management, the material management, the project blueprint management, the project settlement and the network management have been integrated together and contributed to the effective management to the resource data and the resource scheduling as well as the scientific technological means of decision-making and resource management for the company. |
