With the development of Super Large-Scale Integration, microelectronics, digital signal processing and computer, radars are more and more smaller, intelligent and multifunctional. Portable radar is a developing direction of them. Because portable radar has many same characteristics with short detection range, high real-time performance, high resolution, low calculation and light weight, the digital signal processor of portable radar is universal.In the background of Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Radar, hardware platform of digital signal processor is designed and implemented in this paper, which includes such contents as:1. Designing system structure of hardware. The main works in this part include analyzation of system function, choosing key devices, designing system structure, determining system scheme and analyzing the practicability of the system scheme.2. Designing hardware circuit. The hardware circuit of every module and PCB board are designed.3. Developing software of DSP. The design of reading from dual-port ram or writing to dual-port ram in DMA and interrupt is achieved; the way of communication with other module is designed in DSP; the software of algorithms in locational mode is designed and implemented.4. Designing interfaces of FPGA in part. In this section, the central controller of radar is designed. In additionin, logical design of dual-prot ram interface and slave fifo interface are achieved, implementing high-speed communication with other modules.5. Debugging hardware system. The relative modules of hardware system are debugged and verified.
