There are numerous occasions which need to inspect the interior of a room,a building or a blindage when physically entering the room is impossible or hazardous,such as urban-warfare,counter-terrorism,civil engineering and law-enforcement scenarios.So the Through The Wall Detecting Radar(TWDR)has attracted many scientists attention and the imaging of the TWDR has become the most directed and effective application.In this dissertation,a research has been made on the Through The Wall Detecting Radar(TWDR) based on the Ultra-Wide-Band(UWB)step frequency signal.First,we analysis the features and the perspective of the TWDR application.Considering on the electromagnetic wave can go through the wall,the low frequency radar is used to realize the function of TWDR.The research of the method on how to choose the TWDR parameter has been made.and we decide to use the UWB step frequency signal model to analysis the TWDR.The signal model returned from the wall has also been made.For there are clutter and noise in the returned signal,even the power of the clutter and noise signal is larger than the useful signal.So the Least-mean-square FIR adaptive filter(LMS)is used to eliminate the clutter and the noise signal successfully through the computing the Signal to Interfering Ratio(SIR).Secondly,we analysis the antenna scan of the TWDR and the model of the target at UWB signal.The summary of the two kinds of the TWDR imaging methods is also given.Especially the Backward Projection(BP)imaging is the method that we analysis intensively.The BP imaging algorithm of the UWB step frequency signal is deduced and the process of the algorithm realization is also given.The validity of this algorithm is proved by Matlab simulation.Finally,according to the extensive perspective of the UWB TWDR application,the summary of the dissertation and new technology of the TWDR imaging is written at last.
