Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Detecting Radar is a kind of pulse radar based on the ultra-wideband technology, which is used to realize the detection and localization of the moving targets which hidden behind the wall body and other non-metal materials obstacles in short distances. Using the narrow pulse signal which continuous very short in time as the emission signal of Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Detecting Radar makes the detecting radar has high range resolution and good through performance, that makes the detection and location of moving targets hidden behind the obstacles possible.Firstly, this paper expounds the basic theories of the Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Detecting Radar, meanwhile the time domain radar equation of Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Detecting Radar, the signal forms and generation principle of narrow pulse in Ultra Wideband, the modulation mode and a performance of the narrow pulse signal, ultra broadband channel model and the equivalent time sampling and so on are analyzed and discussed.Secondly, this paper expounds the block diagram of Ultra Wideband Through-Wall Detecting Radar, the transmitter design, receiver design are introduced and analyzed respectively also, then several important component of the receiver are simulated using the corresponding software.Then, the hardware and software of signal processing module in the receiver are designed, the FPGA+DSP double processor working collaborative, then using double mouth RAM implement the data interaction between the two processors.Finally, the echo model, detection methods and positioning method of the Detecting Radar which based on the single double antenna structure are discussed,,and after the simplifying of the medium model, the change of the path to the wall and the change of transmission delay are analyzed, at the same time position compensation and delay compensation are made to positioning method, namely the compensation positioning method, and the positioning method and compensation positioning method in the free space are simulated by the MATLAB.
