Microwave power drive module, as a key component element of microwave power module, plays an important role. In the first place, drive module provides high gain and drive power for the next electron tubes. Secondly, it has amplitude equalization function for the uneven amplitude-frequency response characteristics of electron tubes. The design of microwave power equalizer, therefore, becomes the vital part of microwave power drive module design.The thesis analyzes microwave power drive module based on the theory of constitution. It analyzes the structure of microwave power equalizer based on the synthesis theory of resonant wave trap, and designs 4 sets of broad-band microwave power equalizer, including (4-8)GHz, (2-6)GHz, (2-6)GHz, (6-18)GHz. The 4 sets features of compact construction, high equilibrium quantity on the target frequncy, low VSWR, which shows its application prospect in miniaturized and high-performance circuits.The thesis analyzes microwave power drive module and designs a (6-18)GHz model. The module, made up of broadband MMIC amplifier, broadband microwave power equalizer and broad-band MMIC power amplifier. The module integrates the three parts on one PCB mounted in a cavity supplying drive power and power equaling for the latter broad-band miniaturized traveling wave tube. This microwave power drive module has been tested to satisfy the specification and provided to the client.
