With the development and breakthrough in science and technology, modern communication system gets extensive application, in which Modulation and demodulation are the key technology. FSK is an important digital modulation type, and often applied to actual communication engineering because of its outstanding advantages such as convenience, efficiency and easy realization. The common demodulation methods of FSK signal include the coherent demodulation method and noncoherent demodulation method.In modern society, high competition and fast work rhythm bring great changes of people's life styles and information of human world has shown explosive growth trends. If we demodulates massive modulated signal using Von Neumann computer, it is time consuming. The parallel information processing method provides a new way for the problem.In all kinds of communication channels, there are different types of interfere signals from the surrounding environment. Many signals are transferred simultaneously with the continuous increasing amount of information, so these signals will interfere with each other. The communication equipment should normally work in high interference condition.The development of modern communication technology is egregious, the communication system changes rapidly. There are many signal modulation modes which include ASK, FSK, MSK, PSK, DPSK, QPSK and QAM, etc, and each modulation mode has its own characteristics and advantage. In actual communication engineering, different modulation mode is applied; different mode of modulation and demodulation constructs the different system. A particular signal is modulated by a particular hardware module; if we uses a transmitter to product many different signals, whose circuit will be very complex. In the received terminal, for a specific modulated signal, we have to use the relative demodulated module to process the signal. We hope the communication system is low cost and high efficiency, and can be cross-platform application. The Artificial Neural Network has many special capabilities, such as parallel distributed processing capability, nonlinear mapping ability and self-learning and self-adaptive ability, which attract many scholars'interest. According to specific abilities of ANN, the paper proposes a novel way to demodulate the FSK signal based on ANN. Using the novel method; we can demodulate the FSK signal in the environment of strong interference. The simulation results show the method is good performance, and the demodulation performance is better than that of traditional demodulation method.The advantages of demodulation based on ANN include multi-demodulation ability for many different signals, standardization and modularization. The platform of the ANN demodulator has novel circuit architecture and work mode, is easy to be integrated by circuit, and has high recognition ability and strong anti-interference ability. ANN demodulator also has parallel work mode and higher processing speed. The ANN method in communication system is simple, reliable, and can realize the flexible, adaptive and intelligent real-time processing.
