Td-scdma Base Station Operation And Maintenance Technology

Wireless communication has stepped into the 3G (3rd Generation). TD-SCDMA is one of three main global standards, and at the same time, it is China's first time standing with European and American countries equally in the field of communication. With the progress of 3G business, the manufactures and operators have come into the firece competition for the 3G market. Since the users' satisfaction is a key factor for the market winning, only if TD-SCDMA provides a high efficient network operation and manegement platform, can it then provide satisfying service to the users, and get closer to be the winner.The operation and maintenance(O&M) in BS(base station) is responsible for the operation and management of TD-SCDMA BS. As a basic element of TD-SCDMA network, TD-SCDMA BS is a complicated system and does the communication and management work between mobile network and mobile user. The fulfillment of management in BS needs a cooperative job among O&M and other modules. It's easy to find that the BS O&M is a complicated embedded software with distributed character. This paper focuses on the O&M for TD-SCDMA BS, and puts forward a convenient and efficient scheme, which is implemented and validated later.During the research, we firstly learn the basic information of TD-SCDMA technology, study the 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) and TMN(Telecommunication Management Network) protocols, understand the function and inner structure of TD-SCDMA BS, and analyze the function requirements of O&M in TD-SCDMA BS. Secondly, based on the function requirements and the knowledge of TMN typical management model, especially SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) management model, we design the O&M software, and then realize and validate it.The proposed O&M software in this paper can provide a reliable and efficient O&M management for TD-SCDMA BS, and implement the configuration management, performance management, alarm management, supervision management, file management, etc. This software can not only benefit the TD-SCDMA communication manufactures, but also is a favorable factor of TD-SCDMA standard in the market competition.
