High-speed pulse/pattern generator is not only an common instrument in the modern testing and measuring field, but also an important tool in development of high-tech weapons. It can generate all kinds of pulse and programmable date. The advanced nature of pulse/pattern generator lies on the frequency, amplitude, adjustable precision of the pulse and parameters'programmability and so on. Output channel is the core of pulse/pattern generator.The dissertation focuses on the pulse adjustment technology, discusses a method which can be precisely controlled the level and amplitude. The method uses the nature of differential amplifier to transfer the frequency information of the input pulse, the pulse level is controlled by the precise adjustable voltage source, and amplitude is controlled critically by adjustable current source, so level and amplitude of the pulse can be controlled critically. The main works of the dissertation are as follows:1. Based on the development status of pulse generator at home and abroad, the research significance of pulse/pattern generator is discussed. Associated with the characteristics of pulse, put forward a nonlinear adjustment method, the principle is demonstrated and the D/A conversion circuit,current source,voltage source,pulse shaping circuit,level and amplitude controlling circuit,switch controlling circuit is introduced in detail.2. The high speed PCB design and signal integrity which involved in the project is analyzed, integrate with the specific situation to make some appropriate measures to effectively improve the quality of the output signal and hardware anti-jamming features.3. Hardware circuit debugging process is introduced, at the same time, not only the debugging problems are listed and analyzed, but also some feasible solutions are proposed too.The test results show that nonlinear adjustment method can achieve all the guide lines, have broad application prospects.
