WEB programming course aims to strengthen the skill and practice of computer majors in higher institutions. It can also promote the innovative ability of students at the same time. Through undertaking this course, students can improve their ability of programming and solving practical problems. Since curriculum assessment serves as an important method for a comprehensive investigation of this course's implementation. The paper carries out theoretical studies and practical explorations on these questions residing in the assessment of WEB programming course through elaborating on the process to construct its assessment model.On the basis of its specific characteristics, we construct the assessment model for WEB programming course, employing basic theories of curriculum assessment and predecessors' experiences. In this paper, we mainly elaborate on the scopes, contents, principles, index system, criteria and process while assessing web programming course. In the process of constructing assessment index system, we utilize hierarchical analysis to determine the weights of assessing indexes in each levels, and perform consistency test, so as to ensure the scientific values of index system and criteria design and to achieve satisfying effect.
