In recent years, the field of industrial control is placing increasing emphasis on wireless technology for its unique advantages. The process control, as an important component in the field of industrial control, is very suitable with the wireless technology as combination.Based on the analysis of the development status of industrial process control system, this paper put an overall solution forward in the PLC control system, which involved the embedded system and the technology of GPRS and the wireless sensor network (WSN). In this solution, the embedded system communicats with the PLC via an intelligent Profibus-DP slaver station, with wireless signal transporting network which is similar to the WSN providing the signal path between the PLC and the equipments and the GPRS network providing an real-time remote monitoring. After that, the design and debug of the hardware and software is described in detail. A main board, a signal transporting node board and a signal conditioning board were designed and implemented. Then the design of the embedded software is described, such as the transplantation of the embedded operation systemμC/OS-Ⅱand LwIP which serves as the TCP/IP stack. The compiling and debugging of the communication programmes is also introduced.A summary and lookout is made about the work in the paper finally.
