Since mine transport is an important part of coal safety production, and the transport accidents have a large proportion in all kinds of coal mine accidents, the development of motor safety monitoring alarm system is meaningful in coal mine safety production.First of all, the thesis analyzes the methods of locomotive location and develops a pedestrian detection system based on ATmegal28L. After that, it researches moving target detection algorithm under complex background and makes up a monitoring system based on TMS320DM643 development board to avoid laser range finder has a false alarm when turning a corner. The main research and work are as follows:1) In the thesis, the detection alarm system is designed to real-time monitor pedestrians on both sides and in front of the locomotive, feed the accurate distance information back to single-chip and display the result on the LCD. In the design, GM8125 chips are used to expand serial port, and it writes the bottom-driver of LCD to display the information of obstacles and locomotives.2) The thesis researches the system hardware platform based on DM643, analyzes the main integration tools of CCS, writes key documents such as GEL, CMD and DSP/BIOS, analyzes the peripheral device driver from CSL and FVID and realizes the display of images.3) For the the continuous movement of camera with the locomotive, the thesis provides a moving target evaluation algorithm, a module updating method based on region estimation and a point matching algorithm based on similar matrix, and designs a target detection algorithm based on the compensation of background movement and the adaptive thresholding of differential image. The results show that the movement compensation algorithm could remove the background movement caused by camera's movement and solve the problem a false target appears in target detection in the condition of low contrast effectively.4) For the situation that objects remain in the background, the thesis designs a real-time selection algorithm to update the background image during the moving target evaluation. Because of the features that targets are big in the nearby, small in the distance and the proportion of targets'pixels changes in the image, it establishes the mapping table between target height and locomotive distance, and gets ideal results in experiments.
