With the development of comprehensive observation system and extremely increasing information amount,an accurate and formal meteorological data sharing platform should be developed for effective and timely query to meet the demands of advanced meteorological service.Web service is prior choice for the platform,for the reason that it is a kind of technique frame which interacts and integrates web application on the basis of internet.There are four advantages for XML in data exchange and conformity:appropriate data storage format,feasible extension,highly-structured and applicable network transmission.So,meteorological information integrated display platform stated in the paper mainly bases on XML technique to process all kinds of metadata,including different storage formats and various standards meteorological data.Meanwhile,web service,database and SVG are applied to the system.Besides,the paper states in detail in many related aspects,such as platform model,selection of technique programme, database foundation and format of meteorological data.Finally,the whole realization process of information platform will be introduced.Shanghai meteorological information integrated display platform presents all kinds of observation information and realize information sharing within all departments in SMB.The platform had been completed in Feb,2007 and put into use after a series of function and performance tests in May,2007.At present,the platform runs stably and reliably,operating authority is on the safe control,background management can be collocate,user interface is easy for operating and monitoring information indicate correctly.All these functions meet the demands of real-time monitoring and information sharing.
