With the development of computer science and multimedia technology , video processing system becomes more and more widely used in many areas such as daily life, military, industry and medicare. Developing a video capturing and resolution system with perfect commonality and high stability becomes a hot research spot. DSP is a kind of embedded processor especially for digital signal's resolution, which can realize kinds of digital signal resolution arithmetics in real time.So it has great significance in the research of Video processing system.First of all, this thesis introduces current status of video collecting system, after the comparison among several common solutions of video capturing system, it raises a new system for video capturing and processing based on TMS320DM648 which is provided by TI.Then, this Paper introduced the hardware design of the whole system, which is the premises of digital video processing system and the basis of researching and developing algorithm about video encoding and decoding.Additionally, The Paper introduced the PCI driver develop processof the viedo capturing card ,after the comparison of some developing projects, it gave the whole architecture and design process of the WDM driver.On the hardware system platform, I used the real-time operating system DSP/BIOS which embedded in CCS to develop the software system , including system initialization,the configuration of EMIF control registers ,the IIC module and the EDMA3 control registers.Finally the system could realize the input , output and storage of video signal,it provide a good hardware platform for video processing.At last,The Paper makes a summary on the development of the system and brings forward several constructive advices.
