The continuous development of communication technologies, telecom operators'split, reorganization and other factors, cause the domestic transmission network to face a situation of a variety of equipments, a variety of businesses, multiple technologies coexist. Mechanism with a classification and district management which is used to implement the large capacity and well-compatibility with other manufacturers'management equipment, and provide resource management, fault location, business management, customer management, network analysis and network planning services, is the main problem currently the network management system need to resolve. Therefore it is the trend of the times for us to achieve the goal that implementing network-compatible products, and various network management systems to access smoothly between the new generations of network management system.Telecommunications management network (TMN) model for a new generation of network management system provides a possible implementation. Its basic concept is to provide an organized network system in order to operate in the various kinds of operating systems, and the interconnection between telecommunications equipment. It is agreed with the standard protocol and interface information to manage the exchange of information architecture. TMN is a complete and independent management networks, and management systems whose applications are different, but connected in accordance with the TMN standard interface of the network at some points of an interface with the telecommunications network. Performance management involves the collection, maintenance and management of performance data. The performance management system provides a lot of useful information for the maintenance and management of the network, and it will also generate performance reports for network engineers who can guide the information for project planning and improving the quality of the network. Because the entire transmission network management system need to manage thousands of network elements, the whole network performance data generated every day can reach 75 million, furthermore the users require 30 days'performance data, How to achieve fast query such a large amount of data and how to store are urgent problems need to resolve.The system introduced serves the China Mobile Corporation's network management system. The system seeks to achieve the goal of separating from the specific equipments and better extendibility. Therefore this dissertation takes the CORBA architecture as a host middleware. While in order to achieve the goal of distributed management platform as well as accessing other manufacturers'network management products smoothly, this dissertation takes CORBA as an internal bus and the northbound interface. It is worth mentioning that the system put forward innovatively the extension points and plug-ins design idea, which makes the entire network management system loading and unloading various functional modules more flexible.Transmission network performance is an important component of the network management of a large number of performance data, and how to manage such a large amount of data effectively and efficiently to become the key of the design. In order to achieve the aforementioned objectives, this dissertation designed as follow :Performance data collected will be written into files firstly, and then upload them to the FTP server where performance task to get and parses files and the data will be stored in database. This paper takes a sub-table and the index in performance data storegy to reach to the high level of query efficiency. Then I'd like to introduce the thesis frame: First, this paper have a simple introduction of the entire transmission network management system server framework and the outline design of the performance data management server system; On this basis, the paper focus on the research and implement performance task monitoring and management, performance data collection, performance scheduler.Specific studies are as follows:1. Distributed software architecture based on CORBA;2. Transmission network management system framework;3. Extension points and plug-ins management mechanism;4. Network performance server architecture;5. Performancetask scheduler, task management and performance data collection.
