W-band is an important window for millimeter-wave frequency-band reception of the technology has much practical significance. However, at W-band and higher frequencies,as a result of the limit such as: manufacture echnique and materials, millimeter-wave receiver technology have a big gap between domestic and international research, whether hybrid or monolithic integrated form.Based on the above analysis and the needs of applications, it is essential to take more and more comprehensive study of W-band detector and W-band balanced mixer.At W-band detector design, this thesis adopts pair of detections diode's symmetry detection structure,and uses coplanar waveguide which is low-loss in the millimeter-wave band.So,compared with the ordinary microstrip detector,this structure improves the detection sensitiveness and power capacities greatly,and it also represent wide band performance.In this developing of W-band balanced mixer, using E-plane finline-coplanar waveguide hybrid circuit mixer,and adopting the reverse parallel diode form. The key to solve the design of lo,rf, if-side,which in accordance with the mechanism of diodes and broadband requirements for the mixer.Make use of theoretical analysis and computer simulation results, the mixer structure and size was been given, then complete the optimization, manufacture and testing of the mixer,and achieved good results In this thesis, the detector with high sensitivity and wide bandwidth; and mixer with simple structure, easy to install, both of them are expected to use in W-band and other millimeter-wave band receivers.
