The walkie-talkie has been widely used in people's daily lives with the walkie-talkie technology become more matured. Walkie-talkie communications has a unique advantage in such as the cluster scheduling, emergency communications, instant messaging, and it play an important role in the oil chemical and civil construction, residential property management and hotel restaurant, as well as the public security fire-fighting. Since the restrictions on civilian walkie-talkie have been opened up, the walkie-talkie is no longer limited used to the military, but also used in people's lives as a consumer tools of electronics products.This article based on the design of the phone system with ZigBee short-range wireless network technology and G.726 speech codec. The author have finished studying and analyzing the voice processing algorithms, designed and implemented the walkie-talkie voice processing module of system on the Freescale's MCF5213evb. Author also takes part in the design of other several modules. This article has strong practical significance and project value of the voice-processing and embedded system development.This article introduces the focus of the voice processing module of the design and implementation of the process. First of all, studied the principle of Voice Activity Detection, G.726 speech coding and upsampling, and finished the simulation with Matlab In the part of the project implement, compiled the upsampling module in order to improve voice transmission quality, and optimized the object code to improve the operating efficiency, designed the drivers of the pulse width modulation module to achieve a D/A functions, designed and implemented the call progress tones module to display the state information of customer call for the process and the connection status with the equipment.In order to improve the correctness and stability of each module, this article also gives a number of test program and test results of these modules. The results improve these modules are working properly, their main target meet the relevant technical standards and achieve the desired objective.
