The walkie-talkie is a kind of irreplaceable wireless communication equipment which can be used normally without the support of the third part base. As a general trend,analog walkie-talkie will be substituted by digital walkie-talkie.Nowadays,the software system in digital walkie-talkie can’t be updated after using by consumers and this weak point restricts the growth of digital walkie-talkie.Thence, to research a convenient and safe updating system of digital walkie-talkie is an issue to be settled.On basis of researching on walkie-talkie developing history domestic and abroad and referencing the engineering mode on mobile, this thesis implements an updating system which can update frequency,number or software in digital walkie-talkie.In the foundation of that system,this paper achieve an encrypting system for the software of digital walkie-talkie. Applying researching contents in actual project, the system is stable.Main research contents and innovations:1. Based on the BootLoader on ARM,this thesis designs a second bootloader of digital walkie-talkie.That bootloader is provided with two function.Firstly, drive digital walkie-talkie’s hardware. Secondly,decide which mode to be executed.2. Paralleled with normal mode and based on IAP,this thesis implement a updating system on digital walkie-talkie.The system consists of number updating, frequency updating and software updating.Coordinated with this system, a software on PC is supported.3. The fault-tolerance feature is applied for Engineering mode in digital walkie-talkie.In purpose of ensuring the correction of data transmission, a communication protocol between PC and ARM is designed.Double buffering is adopted in engineering mode which guarantees the walkie-talkie can be used normally in special circumstances.4. According to the problem that hackers steal ARM program code by illegal methods, an encrypting system based on AES that can simultaneously prevent digital walkie-talkie code being illegally copied and cracked is proposed.
