| IPTV is the product of the internet technology and television technology and it combines the advantages of the both. The most prominent feature of IPTV is that television images at high-speed internet on business applications become reality to provide users with more selection of multimedia information services by resources integration on broadband cable platform. IPTV's more flexible approach to media for the future of telecommunications has enormous impact on operators, content operators, IT service provider of value-added. IPTV has a very distinctive features and it can interact with users and in accordance with the user's selection to configure a wide range of multimedia services, including digital television programs, video IP phones, entertainment, education and business functions. IPTV technology is a new centralized telecommunications and broadcasting technology. QoS controls it through the cable and wireless networks such as broadband content management, control and security of the output, and it can sent these applications from a business platform to the module with the set-top box or similar equipment, television, PDA, mobile phone or television terminal consumer services.C-NOVA 9700 SPARC MPEG-TS is chosen as video decoder chip, meanwhile, SMSC 9115 is chosen as network chip. On the software side, VxWorks, an excellent real-time embedded operating system, is chosen. MUX interface APIs, which are provided by VxWorks, are used for network chip driver implementation. IPTV STB will analysis IP data packet which are sent from edge server. DVB IP standard is adopted in this dissertation, which encapsulates RTP, a very useful protocol for real-time data transmission, in UDP packets. Video and Audio data transmission will be stably by using RTP and RTCP corporately. At the end of this dissertation, consideration to the IPTV set-top box DRM (Digital Rights Management), CSA(Common Scrambling Algorithm) in Conditional Access System is implemented. |
