| It's indisputably true that news tends to be entertaining with the acceleration of marketization and media industrialization. Some news media have bestowed the audience a more relaxing atmosphere with the entertaining effect due to its vivid plots, various styles and strong visual impact, which, to some extent, reflects media's service function for common people and humanism. However, over-entertainized news has caused many disadvantages as being less serious and less responsible for society.This article is based on the literature review, cross research and functional analysis, sorts, induces and concludes the entertaining news, with an attempt to explore the impetus and motivation of this phenomenon, analyze its status quo and impact, probe into the countermeasures for news entertainization in the hope of enlightening our news practice under the market economy system from the perspectives of communication theories, journalism, sociology and psychology.
