With the development of the microelectronics technology, embedded-system is adopted in the fields of the family and the industry, etc. But embedded-system is generally outside of the Internet. In the modem society, Internet has become one of the important basal communication establishments. People are used to browsing all kinds of the information via Internet. So it has become a more and more important how to connect the embedded-system to Internet.This thesis is about how to connect the embedded-system to Internet. I design the heat-flow meter as the embedded-system. Its micro-controller adopts the PSM430E325 in the series of the MSP43O produced by TI. I also did some design about the hardware the software in order to satisfy the performance requirement. During designing the mode that the embedded-system is connected to Internet, I adopt the hinerver mode which benefits greatly from the appearance and progress of the Linux. As an operate system with sound code opened, I could adjust the kernel of the operate system according to the whole system requirement, and get rid of the useless functions and append some helpful functions, providing a great of flexible design to the whole system. The application of Apache web server and the integration of the MySQL and the PHP do not only clear the design thinking, but also make the design realized easily.The result of the experiment shows that this kind of the mode is viable. Liunx serves as the operate system, not only making the operate system kernel adapt to the whole system requirement, but also improve the stability and safety of the whole system.
