The large scale medical equipments such as the X -ray, CT, and the DR are characterized by expensive cost, large volume, complicated operation and complex configuration etc. Thus, the sale of such equipments depends on the seller's explanations by visiting the consumers with color printing introductions. This would require great efforts and expenses, and could not give the consumers direct and immediate senses. Moreover, because such machine costs expensively, the consumer is cautious of affording it. The reason is that the consumer would be hard to accept the new technology, and a lot of training cost would required once the old machine was replaced by the new one,. However, the VP can simulate the equipment's operational interfaces and new technology on different visual angles and configurations. Such kind of simulation is so direct and immediate that it can help the sellers and instructors to introduce the equipment effectively and economically, and reduce the sale cost.A demonstrator system of large scale medical equipments with B\S configuration is established based on the VP by the VRML. This system adopts the 3D technology to simulate the medical equipment. This system would not only help the user know the appearance, size and mode of the equipment, but also demonstrate the new style and new technology to the user through VP, which would eliminate the user's opponent psychology, and reduce a large of training cost.In this paper, the limitation of the simulation, picture introduction and character exhibition of the traditional medical equipment are pointed out at first. Then, the technology based on the VP by the VRML is analyzed how to used in the demonstrator system. Concretely, the limitation of the demonstration and introduction of the traditional medical equipment are expected to be offset based on the analysis of the actuality and limitation on demonstration system of the traditional medical equipment. Meanwhile, the equipment model exchange, the simulation mutual control, the management of date resource and the condensation of the files with huge data are analyzed in detail. In particular, the utility of the 3D MAX to establish a model and to exchange the VRML rapidly are emphasized. Finally, the VP simulation and communication based on the ASP Access are realized.
