University Educational Management Information System Design And Implementation

With the development of information technology , education information management and services based on computer are eagerly required by the college authority. The staffs of educational administration are under great pressure due to the increasing workload and improving efficiency. Along with the development of network technology and ever-increasing requirement of users' on educational administration, it becomes a trend to build the educational administration system that is based on the B/S structure, which has no time limit and no space restriction.Along with the vigorous development of software industry, the object-oriented technology is widely applied in software engineering. The Paper focuses on UML, which is applied in each stage of the system development including the demand analysis, the system analysis, the system design and the system realization. Based on the users' detailed requirement, the article gives a detailed description of use case diagram. In the system analysis stage, it gives the static model base on class and class relation analysis, it gives the dynamic model base on the analysis of sequence diagram and state diagram. Then, it puts forwards the detailed design of the system structure and the system database. Finally it gives the process of the system realization. There are many unexampled advantages of this iterative method of development based on UML relative to traditional methods.The system is implemented based on Microsoft's VisualStudio2003.NET and SQLServer2000.The system include the system management, academic status management, teaching plan management, grade management, course management, examination management and so on. The system is now putting in actual use in a college, which has greatly improved their educational administration. It has a good economic and social value, and is commonly appreciated among users.
