Network Statistics Map Visualization System

Statistical data deals with the economy of nation, the development of social and so on. The data has utmost importance for analyzing the situation of our country, science, decision-making of government and other fields.Utilizing the space-time character of statistical data, statistical data and geographical spatial data are made into statistical electronic maps, then, distributing those statistical electronic maps via internet. It makes for more intuitionistic to express the disciplinarian of the data spatial and temporal characteristics, it also has largely broadened the applied fields of statistical electronic map and provides valuable information to both the public and government organizations by portraying socio-economic spatial variation.The study analyzes the present development of map visualization, statistical electronic map, technologies of web-based electronic map servce, and major technical difficulties in a process of distributing statistical electronic maps, then the study puts forward a design of Web-based Statistical Electronic Map Visual System and a plan of the realization.The study designs framework of web-based statistical electronic map visual system, includes frameworks of desktop statistical electronic mapping system and Web-based Statistical Map Distributing System. Fundational models of this system have been designed very clearly. The article especially describes design and workflow for every foundation models. The technologies of WebGIS, AJAX and The MS4W Package have been used in this study.The article especially describes the system framework, desktop mapping system and web-based distributing system unified map format conversion technology, statistical applications technology of web-based statistical electronic map, web-based map dynamic management technology, the development and network deployment of the prototype system.Based on《Atlas of Population,Enviroment and Sustainable Development of China》, an application of system has been implemented, an excellent performance of the application shows that the system has high efficiency and stability at the statistical electronic map distributed in real-time on the web, the data format conversion between desktop mapping system and web distributing system, the consistency express technology of visual effect between desktop mapping system and web distributing system and so on. In conclusion, this study provides a vision of the opportunities and challenges offered by the Internet technologies to the mapping and GIS industry through an exploration of the different ways in putting electronic maps online.
