Community Electronic Health Records

Under the background of increasing emergency of the importance of health management and integration of regional medical information, Electronic Health Record systems have become one of the key points in the medical information construction in China. With the aim of sharing the medical resources, information and service, one of the most difficult problems in Electronic Health Record is how to integrate the information in heterogeneous environment. And Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a way of software development driven by business process and based on service. By building the relations between different kinds of application systems and data sources, SOA can integrate the heterogeneous applications and make up the flexible distributed application system. Based on the study of the technologies related to SOA and combining the development of the health record service system in a community in Shanghai, this thesis put forward the design procedures of the Electronic Health Record for community residents with SOA technology. Moreover, it proposed the solution of the security problems by using the techniques such as Role Based Access Control, SSL and WS-Security.According to the SOA life cycle, we divide the realization procedures of the system into requirements analysis, service modeling, service realization, service integration and application deployment. Services will be turned into functions with BPEL. In addition, the article proposes a security solution for the Electronic Health Record taking into account identity authentication, network communication encryption and XML SOAP messages encryption.
