As a software platform and development environment in the supervising layer of automation control system, configuration software is a kind of the special software which is used for data acquiring and process control. With flexible and various configuration mode( not programming mode ), friendly user development interfaces are provided. With the software modules involved in the configuration software, all kinds of functions in the supervising layer are accomplished easily, and computers and I/O devices produced by different factories are also supported. In addition, based on the highly reliable industry control computers and network systems, the software and hardware interfaces are integrated together for the control layer and management layer in order to form a system integration.In the industry control field, the configuration software plays a special and important role, and provides convenient conditions for automation engineers. However, some problems are still exists in the traditional configuration software: the system analysis and design are emphasized particularly on process; the process of design is complicated which is strict to automation engineers; data variables cannot be flexible used in practical systems for various restricts; system debugging is complicated; the solution set is separated from factual system; control algorithm is simple. Based on the above problems, the concept of object-oriented configuration software is introduced , and solutions are given as the following: the architect of traditional configuration software is improved, and an control algorithm classes library is added in the system .Furthermore, based on the computer control system, an object-oriented configuration software platform is developed by using Visual C++6.0 to validate the feasibility and rationality of the software .There are four parts in the thesis. The first part explains the object-oriented methodology, the concept of object-oriented configuration software, and software tools used for developing the object-oriented configuration software platform. The second part introduces the system analysis and design of the platform, and the models of analysis and design are built. The third part describes the implementation of the platform, and the implementation of the projects manager, the design environment and the running environment in detail. In the fourth part ,a practical hydraulic level control system is realized to validate the feasibility and rationality of the platforms. At last the research content is summarized and the development of the configuration software is forecasted.
