The control of diesel particulate emission is very important and challenging research field during the present development of diesel, the regeneration of diesel particulate filter(DPF)is the very emphasis and difficult hurdle in the research and application of this field. For the automatic regeneration and real-time monitoring problem of the DPF, a solution is put forward which adopting AT89C52 microprocessor to achieve a reliable regeneration control system and outilizeing GPRS wireless communicating technology to empolder a remote monitoring system, then use the two parts to construct a particulate emission processing system. The regeneration control system hardware circuit including signal acquisition and processing units, data storage unit, real-time clock circuit, power supply modules etc.,as well as modular design the program, has also been specially designe a system interface program to facilitate the exchange of the man-machine.The monitoring system, including GPRS data transmission unit (DTU) and data center software of the monitoring server,this thesis introduced in detail the approach of using ARM7 chip and GTM900 GPRS module as a major component to develope DTU, including its hardware circuit construction, andμC/OS-Ⅱsystem transplanting,and also GPRS terminal development.Finally the data center software is developed using the VB language and database technology ,as a resulte of the software, the monitoring center can monitor hundreds of vehicles at the same time.Ultimately a diesel vehicles particulate emission processing system which automatically control the regeneration of DPF and which can monitoring it real-time are successfully developed.This system was retrofitted to hundreds of diesel vehicles in Beijing area. Through such tests, the particulates emission of those vehicles reduced 90 percent, which contribute those vehicles'particulate emission up to or near EuropeⅣstandards for particulate emission.That accumulated rich experience in the practical application of DPF in China, The practical results have proved such after-treatment system is just the one that is suited to our national situation and that can bring hugely social and economic benefit.
