Image Processing And Image Recognition Technology Is Applied Research In Intelligent Transportation

Along with global economic rapidly develop and automobile quantity's increase, the Intelligent Transport System already became various countries' research the focal point. This article had mainly studied many kinds of image processing and the pattern recognition technology, simultaneously had studied their some improvement algorithm, and these technical application in Intelligent Transport System.This article analyzed and studied the intelligent transport System to involve the question. The car License Plate Recognition system was important part in the Intelligent Transport System, but it's research is not very mature in our country.This article had studied three sub-systems which the car License Plate Recognition system contains:(1) Car license positioning system. This was the car license recognition first step the work. First, this article to the automobile image which gathered used 4 kinds of imager processing technology to carry on the pretreatment, Then used the image vertical, the horizontal axis projection locates the car license position, and tailors the car license image.(2) Character division and feature extraction system. This system had 5 kind of imager processing technology before the character division to utilize in the car license imagery processing. after character division, this article had studied character feature extraction several methods, completes the preparatory work for the following character recognition work.(3) Character recognition system. This system used three BP network model, in the procedure realizes in the process the repeated test, had the high recognition rate to the car license alphanumeric character. Then used the template matching the method to carry on the recognition to the car license English character, had made the good progress.Finally, the author used the present paper the fundamental research achievement and unified the related topic, then studied and developed car license recognition system, this system was developed with vc++ and Had the high recognition rate.
