Nowadays, Ethernet technology has been widely used in the field of industrial control. Meanwhile, intelligent instrument is also a trend. It is certainly to be future development direction that instrument being combined with Ethernet technology and possessing network function. However, the diversity of intelligent instruments has also brought negative effects such as intelligent instrument products not being able to match each others. In order to solve this problem and to achieve the standardization of intelligent instrument interface in network, it's necessary to formulate an interface standard, so that intelligent instruments which meet the standard can be used to network easily.Based on the discussion above, an interface norm is proposed in this paper and a kind of intelligent machine based on industrial Ethernet (Network sensor) is developed to test the interface standard. This instrument is constituted by three parts: front data acquisition unit, rear data dispatch unit, digital interface. The front data acquisition unit is mainly used to collect data and to describe the unit's information. The rear data dispatch unit provides the function of data processing and controls the front data acquisition unit. Digital interface defines data formats and communication formats of transmission between two units.It can be deduced from the results that the entire system model is feasible.
