What kind of host is popular and impressive to the audience? The most directly answers would be the outstanding image, active attitude, or ingeniously humorous language of the host. Mean while, as a host, what is the premise of his active live performance and decent language? The answer should be traced down to the Hosting Consciousness. The strong Hosting Consciousness is the promotion of the host's live performance and spot controlling to a more initiative, tactful and invigorating state.There are two levels of Consciousness: philosophical consciousness and psychological consciousness. There are three kinds of texts when the host preparing the program: entire-text, half-text and non-text. The present situation proved that the hosting in half-text and non-text is the main style in television programs. Therefore, this thesis is focus on the improvisational hosting in half-text or non-text programs by studying on psychological consciousness. By culturing positive and active psychological mechanism, the host could make his performance into a self-conscious and independent state.In the history of psychological studies, many definitions have been given to the term"consciousness". When we analyze these definitions, one common characteristic of these definitions has been found: consciousness is believed to be a kind of self-conscious behavior. In this thesis, the hosting consciousness is defined to be the self-conscious degree of the involvement into the program and the independent ability of controlling a program. So how could the host transfer the active consciousness to a kind of independent ability? The two crucial factors are the theorem of Psychological Effect in Interpersonal relations and Principles of Emotion and Feeling in psychology.Many cases revealed that the important and special effects of the hosting consciousness under the support of Psychological Effect in Interpersonal relations and Principles of Emotion and Feeling in psychology. And more important, the preparation of the hosting consciousness will also be creatively discussed to instruct the host's performance in this paper.
