The image of IR polarization is a new research in fields of infrared detection and infrared imaging. It introduces the polarization image technology of the visible light in the infrared domain, and provides a new idea and a new method for the infrared detection and infrared image processing.It is for the purpose of improving the quality of the infrared image and increasing the probability of the infrared imaging system identify and target's discovery, remarkably. In this paper, first of all, the theory of infrared polarization imaging is expounded. Then drawn in the visible light polarization measurement methods, the parameters and the method of the infrared polarization imaging's measure, measuring the Stokes' parameters, are designed. It is also proposed a model of the infrared polarization imaging system to get the Stokes' image. It is researched the infrared polarizer according to the model of the infrared polarization imaging system, the wire grate is chosen to produce infrared polarizer. According to the theory of the vector wave diffraction theory, two grating parameters of different basement are designed. At last, it is discussed the fusion algorithm of the polarization image. Compared the direct stack algorithm by weight with the wavelet decomposition and reconstruction, it is showed that the latter has the better effect.
