This design is mainly to complete the video display of radar electro-optical tracking machine.Photoelectric detection system is a passive detection system with better concealed nature. The core technology of the precision guidance weapon research is to use visible light image to realize real-time image processing and tracking. Along with the increasingly complex battle environment, as well as camouflage, stealth and other targets of the rapid development of control technology, the application of real-time image tracking system has increasingly widespread. The display has become more important since it requires its terminal video monitor system could be real-time and direct-viewing to reflect the target tracking situation.With the rapid development of SCM and photoelectric technology, as well as the mature of digital image processing and digital signal processing (DSP) devices, there have been large-scale programmable logic device (CPLD / FPGA). In the design, use a piece of high performance monolithic integrated circuit, make the pretreatment using scene programmable component FPGA to the gathering video frequency numeral picture, complete these quential control logic and realize the video frequency, the graph, the character superimposition. The video signal after integration will be transformed real-time to monitor to display. As a result of the online system programming technology, the system is more flexible, and more convenient to upgrade.The present paper has outlined this topic research design background, and has discussed the domestic and foreign research present situation and the development tendency. it introduces the video frequency superimposition system realization plan and the essential technology used. To the video frequency superimposition display system principle of work, the hardware design has carried on the detailed narration, and has produced the software module flow chart, the partial source programs. And it has carried on the function debugging to the video frequency superimposition system. The current system has been successfully used in certain radar products, it is technically mature, the properties are very stable and reliable, and has received good results.
