General Bom Model

Along with the fast development and continuous promotion of information technology in China, Because of increasing market competition and rapid change of customer's requirements, in order to make a quick response to the market, more and more people realize the necessary to manage the enterprise by information technology, so they begin to use the information technology in the factories to make advantages in competition. All the enterprises are finding how to change traditional patterns of designing, manufacturing, taking advantage of the resources in order to produce efficiently and make the PDM software extend to the entire product life cycle. The idea and software of PDM, PLM and others appear.BOM(Bill of Material) is the basic and kernel data in product management system. It is the key data in the process of information integration and function integration. BOM has a key effect in the enterprise and the way of using it determines whether success or failure in the System.BOM is the Main object researched in this thesis. On the basic theory of BOM, how to realizing universal BOM model is researched. The contents of the thesis are listed bellow:(1)The situation of the ERP software in China is not good because of the bad generalization in BOM. Many methods are gived for the generlization.(2)The essence of the BOM was analyzed by the Graph philosophy. The BOM's complications and differences with engineering plan graph are Discussed when it is connected to the manufacturing. A detail programming flow graph of MRP is given.(3)Consider the situation of BOM's confusion, point out it is good to see BOM from different views. Three basic BOM storage ways which can derive other ways in the DBMS are given and the differences between them are analyzed.(4)Point out prototype development is good in ERP software developing. It is good to classify the BOM between people's brain's view and in the computer's database, then it can improve communications between programmers and the managers of factories. (5)An algorithm is given to spread the BOM and a BOM edit tool is developed. This algorithm is a complement of common algorithm and can improve the efficiency of the system. The edit tool can be used extensively.
