Millimeter wave detector is the common component of millimeter wave system. At present, there are millimeter wave detector products for engineering practice in abroad. We are just proficient in microwave detector design in domestic, and do little research in millimeter wave detector design. The detectors which we use are always bought from abroad when the detected signals whose frequency reach millimeter wave band. For this sense, the research has its important engineering value. The dissertation mainly researches the W band microstrip integrated detector. Detector theory, simulation method, model building, passive circuits such as transition, match network and filter are discussed. In the end, the circuits design is completed. In W-band microstrip integrated detector design, three-dimensional full-wave field analysis is used instead of circuit simulation because of the limitation of the circuit structure. The influence of the parasitic parameters of diode and circuit assemble are also considered to make the design feasible. The modeling of the diode influence the reliability of the simulation results especially in millimeter wave band. It is difficult to design the match network, because the influence of diode's parasitic parameters becomes especially severe when the frequency is high. Using several analysis methods of electromagnetic field, which makes the simulation results have good agreement with the test results, the engineering design is convenient.Test results show that the bandwidth is 3 GHz when voltage sensitivity above 500 mV / mW, and the bandwidth is 8 GHz when voltage sensitivity above 300 mV / mW. In the W-band, the maximum voltage sensitivity of the detector is 744 mV/mW.
