Design, Smart Home System Based On Zigbee Technology

The Intelligent Home system is the development direction of future home. It takes advantage of computer, wireless communications, network and sensor technologies to combine all the related sub-system together and manage them as a whole, to provide a intelligent and comfortable living environment.Combining with the remote controller and the lamps controller, this dissertation focuses on utilizing the ZigBee technologies to implement the control network in the Intelligent Home.This dissertation introduces the related technologies in the Intelligent Home system and their development at home and abroad. Then based on the analysis about the merits and drawbacks of our early works on those related Intelligent Home product, and the comparation with many kinds of wired and wireless communication technologies choose the ZigBee protocol which has been a IEEE standard as the internal control network building method for the Intelligent Home. After intensive studies on ZigBee protocol and the combination with specific application background star was chosed as the topological structure of its network.The article further proposes the entire framework of the Intelligent Home system, internal functions, as well as their implementation methods, elaborate the software and hardware design of the remote controller and the lamps controller, and at last gives those implement result of ZigBee network on Microchip ZigBee development platform.The background of this dissertation is the application in market. In the design process of internal control network, fully considerate the cost of each node, power consumption, construction and so on, so that the design of each module has very strong practicability. It can meet the needs of ordinary households after debugging with other parts and further optimization.
