The T/R module plays a great role in the modern radar system nowadays. This paper is about"The research on the Ka band receive module". This paper begins with the transceiver and frequency synthesis on the entire system. Illustrations are given mainly on the crucial components about the system, along with detail explanations on the methods of designing and testing. In the end, the analysis and measurement about the entire system is given.Chapter 1 is about the introduction of T/R module research and the background and development of T/R module in our country and foreign.Chapter 2 is about the principles of analyzing and designing filter in the receive module and signal source. Stepped impedance filter, E plane filter and integrated substrated waveguide(SIW) are emphasized because their contributions on the miniaturiation and integration of the system.Chapter 3 is about the research on the Ka Band frequency synthesis. We start about on the microwave dielectric Resonator Oscillator, either on the aspect of Phase Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (PLDRO), or on the aspect of utilization of grounded coplanar waveguide(GCPW).Then X-Ka Band doubler is introduced, along with X Band low noise Amplifier. At last, the result of the measurement of the Ka band signal source is given.Chapter 4 is about the research on the Ka band transceiver. In this chapter, we emphasize on the analysis and design about the Ka band mixer and amplifier. At the same time, C band amplifier and transitions between microstrip and waveguide is given. The measurement of these components are given as well.Chapter 5 gives a wholly representation on this system. The system simulation and results of measurement are given.
