Context-aware Information Retrieval System Is A Comparative Study

Context-aware information retrieval can discover and take advantage of contextual information(such as user location,time of day,nearby people and devices,and user activity).In this paper,we introduces the conception technology and the state of context-aware information retrieval and then select four typical systems which are OSGi-based system,CHIS system,CASM system and Scudware based system.By the comparison of the four systems in frame function and technology we analysis the key technologies and functions in building context-aware applications.The main innovation of this dissertation is that we build a frame——UCARM for china context-aware information retrieval.We hope this frame can give some references to build china context-aware information retrieval system.
