Image fusion technology is the integration of information technology in the theory developed on the basis of the new image processing technology, along with the development of image fusion technology. This technology has had a wide range of applications in medical diagnosis,remote sensing, computer vision, weather forecasting and military targets, such as identification .In recent years, digital signal processor (DSP) as a rapid and real-time processing of one of the most important carrier, has been widely used. With the development of DSP technology, DSP-based image processing system has been widely applied in various fields, at the same time also offer the possibility of achieving the integration of real-time images.This study described the image registration and fusion system design and implementation of the programme reference to electronic SEED-VPM642V2.0 simulation based on real-time evaluation board developed high-speed multi-processor .The system chosen TI's TMS320DM642 and CCS deal with the hardware and software platform, complete multi-source real-time image-registration and fusion needs a lot of computing, CPLD chip completed the acquisition of multi-sensor control and video synchronization. As a result of the performance DSP-based real-time embedded systems and generic standardized bus architecture design, the system can be flexibility in the application of a variety of fusion algorithm to achieve low-light-level infrared light and dual-channel digital image processing of high-speed real-time fusion ,and nice solve the contradiction between Multi-scale integration of image registration algorithms calculate which need large volume of data processing and real-time requirements of the contradiction.In this paper, image fusion research background and significance of image fusion of the basic theory, dim-light and infrared images of their respective characteristics, and the integration of several commonly used algorithm. Introduced the system's hardware design process, hardware debugging and programming developed in the CCS process, and gives the effect of the integration of systems integration.
