Integrated University Information System Based On Soa And Web Services

The information system for universities is an integrated unit.But each of its subsystem is highly independent and thus its data and services cannot be shared due to the limit of software developing technologies and the slow development of information system for universities.Thereby,information system integration is an important research area to the construction of the information system for universities as well as a pressing problem faced by universities.Web service is a self-description and self-contain application module,which is independent of developing platform and programming language.Based on the above advantages, service oriented architecture realizes a kind of standard,loose and coupling application architecture within systems.Firstly,this paper introduces the basic theories of the application integration,and discussed the traditional solution of the application integration systematically.Then the author points out the problems aboutthe traditional integration solution,and puts forward the application integration solution based on the SOA and the Web services which matches ideal,In addition the author analyzes the theories about SOA and Web services,and puts forward the the integration solution of information system for universities based on the SOA and Web services:sets up the Web services by enlaping legacy systems and the enterprise service bus.Then the author introduces two kinds of technique support platforms:.NET platform and J2EE platform which can realize SOA,and carries out the integration of information system for universities which makes use of the proposed integrated solution on the J2EE platform.Finally,the author give some conclusion and foresight.Now,the service oriented integration of information system for universities is a new and hot research area.The integration solution based on the SOA and Web services which put forward in this paper is significant to the construction of the information system for universities.
