General Database Management System Based On Campus Network Research And Implementation

With the development of science and technology and the advancement of computer application, network and database technology, the computer's powerful capacity of data processing and management, which plays an increasingly important role in various fields, is widely recognized. Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is also more and more valued by the entire field of education, which use computers to carry on comprehensive, systematic, scientific, efficient management and application of the Exam-question Bank System, which has a incomparable superiority to other traditional management approaches, such as convenient search, mass storage, fast retrieval speed and so on.The author developed an Exam-question Bank System to use modern computer technology as a tool to manage the exam-question database, which has greatly increased the teachers' working efficiency.In this paper the author designs a general Exam-question Bank System which focuses on the management of the exam-question database and testing paper generation. According to the different access, the system is available for users to maintain the coding and formations of the papers, and generate papers. Considering the safety of the database, the system can backup and restore information of the database or data according to different needs to prevent inadvertent loss of data to the user.The interface of this system is user-friendly. Delphi 7.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 are used to develop Foreground application and background database respectively. Using modular design ideas, the system is a complete set of the Exam-question Bank System based on C/S, including user management, test paper input and maintenance, producing test paper and other major functions.
