All of the editing functions of CAD system and objects' observation available are realized by geometrical transformation such as two-dimensional copy, skewing, amplification, miniaturization, rotation, shift, three-dimensional mirror image transformation and rotation transformation. However, none of the editing functions fulfilled through these transformations can convert two-dimension into three-dimension or change from three-dimensional form and structure of one type into the one of anther type. This paper seeks new transforming method by illustrates the transformation of two-dimension and three-dimension, which enables the two-dimensional pictures transform into three-dimensional ones, or a type of form and structure into anther type, which will be applied into CAD system. This paper emphasized two transforming methods—twist transformation and bend transformation, whose introduction increases greatly the ability of CAD system to form a structure and meets the multiple requirement of production designs.Integrating mathematic modeling technique, object-oriented technique, parameterization design technique, this paper realizes the application of twist transformation and bend transformation in CAD, with the environment of Auto CAD, development tool of ObjectARX, and programming language of V++6.0.
