With the continuous development of the Internet, on the one hand, the interactive data of network, the audio and video information become more and more, on the other hand ,the electronic commerce, network television, online conferencing, distance learning, and other streaming media services are on the rise gradually, The network bandwidth ,the continuous and real-time streaming media data are in high demands.At present, because of the various broadband access technologies widely used in the internet, the bottleneck has been moved to the backbone network, resulting the backbone network is difficult to support the large-scale streaming video, as well as its popularization.IP Multicast can be used effectively to solve the problem that single point send and several points receive. Transmitting data in a high speed in the Internet can be efficiently realized, moreover,network bandwidth can be saved and network load can be reduced.But there are also some shortcomings, in order to settle these deficiencies the paper proposed that embeding proxy cache into video multicast system. Mainly including integrating the proxy cache technology and IP Multicast technology together to the system.the system was verified that streaming media data can be transmitted by the higher speed and network congestion can be reduced .So its application prospects is broad. Main contentions and production are as follows:1 Communication mechanism of the multicast message was systemicly analyzed. Various advantages of IP multicast are introduced. IP multicast Protocol, Internet Group Management Protocol, and Multicast Routing Protocol were analyzed in the paper.2 The mainly viewpoint was that proxy cache technology be used in the IP Multicast Communication System, designed and implemented the application system that setting proxy cache server in the communications path to achieve the transmission of streaming media. Including the source server settings, the system components and functions of the proxy cache module, users receive module and its main function code.The construct method how to join and quit the multicast trees was Given.3 A detailed study about the scheduling algorithms and the replacement algorithms were given about the system. Moreover, the improved algorithms were proposed on the basis of present algorithms.It was test by the simulation software.Further explained that clients chose proxy cache server as a relay to transmit streaming media.4 Through the experiments it ware proved that the improved algorithm has the higher hit rate. When the system was run, it effectively shorten the delay request.And the better streaming video services can be provide by this system.
