Switch power system is widely used in different fields. With the rapid development of VLSI and SOC technology, it is very urgent and significant to construct and perfect the Power Control ICs library of our own Intellectual Property step by step by the way of developing and accumulating the CMOS anolog IP cores.Based on the 0.6um CMOS technology and using the tools of Hspice, a PWM Power Control Integrated Circuit is designed. It works at a high frequency with pulse width modulation (PWM) mode; the working frequency is fixed at 100 kHz. The range of normal working temperature is 0℃~75℃; So far as the output signal of the single-chip IC is concerned, the maximum time proportion of its high level is 60 percent, but the minimum one is 6.9 percent.In the thesis, some of the most important functional modules of the PWM Power Control ICs are designed and simulated, including error amplifier, voltage reference, bias circuit, oscillator, PWM comparator, undervoltage protection circuit, overheat protection circuit, circuit of soft activation, circuit of internal supply and power_up reset circuit. The topologies, schematics and layouts of these circuits are introduced and developed. Although the structures of these modules are simple, they can work properly and efficiently in a wide range of ambient temperatures and supply voltage variations.
