With the rapid development of science and technology, the speed of computer' development toward high-performance and microminiaturization is becoming more and more quickly in recent several years. With the improvement of semiconductor technology and the application of embedded technology, the traditional computer has been reduced to board-level, even chip-level. Under this kind of technology background, the people in now days bring up a new demand of computer's application-Wearable Computer.The difference between wearable computer and the general computer is that the first doesn't use traditional keyboard for input, doesn't use LCD for display, and doesn't has a fixed hardware connection mode. Compared with the traditional computer, the wearable computer uses voice for input and has the capabilities of information collection of human body, mini personal LCD and long-range wireless communication. The use of wearable computer is not restricted of time and place. A wearable computer is a human-machine computer system. In which, all the information, no matter for input or output, is focused on the core of human environment. The composition of a wearable computer, no matter the software or the hardware, can all be remodeled. Because the wearable computer has a small size and can be carried to everywhere, which has very important use value in the computer application situation that needs to liberate the hands of human.The study content of this paper is focusing on how to realize the information collection in a wearable computer and how to lower its power. The main task is designing and realizing an overall wearable computer system and realize the information collection according to the characteristics of this wearable computer. This paper also has deep research on low-power technology in the designing of this wearable computer.The most important modules used for information collection in this design are introduced, and the source code used for the module's application is given in this paper. After the application of low-power theory on processor and other modules, the paper gives the specific data of power under various measure methods. Through the compare of the data we can see that the low-power methods used in this paper can reduce the system, power consumption significantly. The study content of this paper contributes to the achievement of a specific wearable computer.
