Axletree is the very important product in machine engineer and industry, and has great effect for automotive industry, machining and manufacturing. The exactitude detection and sorting of axletree is an important part for further process. Laser Detection System is an offset of photoelectricity detection system. It is an advanced system including laser technology, sensor technology, communication technology, detection technology and photoelectricity technology. Laser Detection System belongs to untouched detection technology, comparing with touching detection technology, it has less limit, more efficiency, and protects the face of the detected, not be affected by the state of the detected. So Laser Detection System is more and more used in high precision, super high precision.Derived from the practical situation, the thesis makes a thorough study on the key technologies and the applied developments of the Laser Detection System. On the key correlative knowledge of the Laser Detection System, based on the practical demand, study decides two projects. One is constant speed detection project, the other is peak value detection project. The former uses subsection drive technology of stepping motor, make sure the constant speed in the process of detection, build up the math model about inner diameter and outer diameter detection, and provide a method to judge the roundness. Based on the experience of machine engineer, the second adopt special lead rail, and use the position relation between laser, lead rail and axletree, finish the detection about inner and outer diameter. By the RS-232 of laser controller, the data is passed into PLC. At the same time, PLC is communicating with PC. From the PC, PLC gets the program to detect the data. After the comparing with the standard data, PLC can output a judge electrical signal. The signal controls the driver to open or close the valve, and finish the sorting of the axletrees.
